Our buddy Field Yates is with us. Usually he is very attentive. He is excited. He is a great guest. I love him. He's a great friend as well. He helped me with my fantasy league. We'll get to that in a second. But he is not paying attention to us. And so I am, because he's in his phone. And so I'm wondering what is going on there, you can credit me exclusively for this one. Adam Schaefter actually is the person to credit. But the Dolphins have fired Mike McDaniel. What? Head coach Mike McDaniel is in Miami. Crazy. Hot off the press. 1030 a.m. Eastern time. Mike McDaniel is no longer. The Dolphins head coach. Wow. And by the way, like this comes on the heels of them, I think announcing that they had narrowed down their GM finalists to four people. Yes. Which made me think that like if you've narrowed down the GM finalists, it probably means that the head coach has been right there involved in the process.

But apparently not, guys.

A 25% of NFL teams don't have a head coach right now.

25%.

Is this the craziest coaching carousel you've ever seen?

Man, I tell you, John Harbaugh definitely amplified it.

I feel like the year that Belichick was out in New England,

like that alone made it maybe the most notable head coaching carousel in a long time. Last year,

it was interesting, early 2025, because we had heavy hitting names available. Obviously,

Ben Johnson and Mike Vrable were the two sort of bells the ball and guys who in

their first year made a huge difference for their respective franchises.

John Harbaugh alone, though, definitely brings this head coaching carousel to a different

level and the sheer volume.

I mean, 25% of the NFL, that's ridiculous.

It's going to be looking for a new head coach.

Yes, and part of that 25% is not the New York Jets, which is even more amazing. But Field, are you surprised by the Mike McDaniel move here? Because I kind of am, I'm with you. Like he was part of the GM search. He narrowed this thing down to four potential candidates and now they're letting him go. Yeah, that is. So I'm surprised only because, you know, it's Thursday when we're having this conversation. And obviously that's, what, 100-ish hours after the season concluded. Yeah. So I think probably the best way to do this is to go through the good and the bad. And I'm not surprised in the sense that they'd already fired their GM. And I think the idea of change was on the radar.

I am surprised, though, only because it took this long.

And the Dolphins had won, was it four straight prior to the week 18 blowout loss to the Patriots?

Mike is obviously, I mean, Mike Daniel was, I think, without question, an offensive innovator, right?

His even like some of the stuff that before the game got out of hand last Sunday, like gave the Patriots fits.

They've consistently done that.

They took care of business in four straight.
