Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Making the Cook podcast.

0:08.2

Final episode of this series, I think.

0:10.8

Yes, because we are going to take like a couple of weeks, a month.

0:16.2

Maybe three or four weeks off.

0:18.4

We skipped last week, so we're really sorry about that, folks. We had quite a few people messages saying, where's this week's episode? We were just, we did actually record for about 15 minutes last week, and then I pressed a button on Garage Band, and it deleted the whole episode. And then we had like a 15 minute window to re-record the whole episode in. We couldn't do it in 15 minutes and then we were just like oh god let's do it tomorrow and then tomorrow never came and then boom it just didn't happen we had a big douglas family weekend this weekend yeah my brother came down from oakley where he lives with his lovely girlfriend Shirley,

0:54.8

and he brought his daughter Lucy and their friend,

0:56.9

and then my dad and my stepmom came, and then Andy came, my brothers, my half-brothers came,

1:03.4

like it was about 25 of us came for the weekend.

1:06.2

And it really just consumed our entire lives, really, so it was just so hard to do that.

1:10.4

But it was a great weekend, doesn't it? Oh my God, it was so it was just so hard to do that but it was a great

1:11.0

weekend oh my god it was so good karaoke was brilliant yeah yeah we as you probably know in apple

1:17.7

music if you've got apple music you can lose the voice that's a very good recommendation yeah so

1:23.5

we've done it before but it's probably a good one just to repeat if you click on to the song on Apple Music that you're listening to, you'll see this little speech bubble. If you press the speech bubble, you can often find on a lot of the songs, you can remove the vocal, or you can just dull the vocal down a bit so you can barely hear it.

1:40.1

That's absolutely perfect for some people, because they might not know the song quite well enough, but just to dull it a little bit. So you've got a guide underneath that you can hear, but then you can then sing over the top of it. Yeah. So you Bluetooth this to a speaker and you've got a microphone perhaps with a, you know, a PA system or an amp or something like that. And you can just sing along so you can essentially do karaoke we often do this when people come up and visit and you know everybody sings a song or

2:05.7

something you know and uh we did that this weekend and it was just so funny oh it's and it's such an

2:13.4

entertaining thing to do i sang a love Me, which is a U2 song,

2:18.7

which I've talked about on this podcast before.

2:20.6

You were really good.

2:22.0

I'm very good at singing that, even if I do say so myself.

2:25.3

I'm not particularly good singer, but I'm good at certain things, you know.

2:29.2

Can I just say something?

2:31.0

Yeah, okay.
