In 1986, a serial killer Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton killed his first victim (Robbin Brandley) in Mission Viejo, California. He killed a total of 3 women while he served on active duty (Robbin Brandley, Julie McGhee, and Mary Ann Wells). And then he killed 5 more after leaving the service (Tammy Erwin, Denise Maney, Laura Uylaki, Cassandra Corum, and Lynn Huber – Jennifer Asbenson survived his attack). From 1986 – 1996 – this man would kill 8 women across two states.
