Hi, friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament and the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we read all four books, as we finish up this month's reading plan, I would appreciate it so much.

So we dive into the NRSV Catholic Edition of the Gospels on October 1st.

The cool thing is between the NRSV Catholic Edition and the NRSV reread in June, there are no differences.

It is the exact same. Well, there are differences between our Protestant faith and our Catholic faith friends.

There are some really great similarities and four of them are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

It is going to be such a fun read. If you haven't gotten a copy of the guidebook yet, it will help you so much.

As we wrap up this reading of the chronological version of the Gospels that we've been reading in the NRSV, I'm sorry to see it end.

I absolutely love a chronological version and I'm really grateful that you all do as well.

The resurrection from Mark. When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene married the mother of James and Salome brought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body.

Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.
