0:00.0	Hi, friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
0:09.0	These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, and the miracles.
0:16.0	So here's how this works. We are in the final few days of reading through the Gospels chronologically in the NIV.
0:21.0	We're reading the stories in the order they took place and we're going to read from all four books today.
0:26.0	And I'll share the references with you here at the beginning. You can find them in the show notes as well.
0:30.0	You can listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray. And that's it.
0:33.0	So today is September 28th and I'll be reading Mark 151, Matthew 271 and 2, Luke 2266 to 71, Matthew 273 through 10,
0:45.0	Mark 152 through 5, Matthew 2711 to 14, Luke 231 through 12, John 1828 to 40, Mark 156 through 5, Matthew 27, 15 to 26,
1:01.0	Luke 2313 to 25, John 191 through 16, Mark 1516 through 20, Matthew 27, 27 to 31, and Luke 2263 to 65 in the NIV.
1:17.0	Jesus before the Sanhedrin from Mark.
1:21.0	Very early in the morning, the chief priest with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin made their plans.
1:27.0	So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate from Matthew.
1:33.0	Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans how to have Jesus executed.
1:39.0	So they bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor from Luke.
1:46.0	At daybreak, the counsel of the elders of the people, both the chief priest and the teachers of the law met together and Jesus was led before them.
1:54.0	If you are the Messiah, they said, tell us.
1:56.0	Jesus answered, if I tell you, you will not believe me.
1:59.0	And if I asked you, you would not answer.
2:01.0	But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.
2:05.0	They all asked, are you then the Son of God?
2:08.0	He replied, you say that I am.
2:11.0	Then they said, why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.
