Pressure on all sides of Capitol Hill to come together to pass a new COVID-19 relief bill

before the next recess. Negotiations are ramping up to try to find

some middle ground, as some of the benefits are quickly coming to an end. But there are some major

contrast between the two sides proposals. You can see big differences on total cost. The GOP,

around one trillion, Democrats at three trillion. And Democrats offer

no liability protection for companies. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell joins me now with the

untold story. So this doesn't look too good, does it?

Well, you know, they're pretty big differences you outline them. They want to spend

$3 trillion, which would double what we've already added to the national debt back in March and April.

That's a pretty $2 trillion difference is no small amount of money.

And as you indicated, they're also reluctant to provide liability protection.

It's not just for businesses.
