Summary

Following the destruction of the city of Mariupol, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Sunday that he was ready to meet with Russian President Putin to negotiate an end to the current war in Ukraine. President Biden has already signed off on billions of dollars worth of aid to Ukraine, and on March 24th he will meet with NATO allies in Brussels in an ongoing effort to avoid the possibility of entering a third world war. Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson joins the Rundown to discuss how the U.S. should be assisting Ukraine, Russia's plans for a new world order, and how the Biden administration is being viewed by Russia and its allies. Scientists have been tracking the COVID-19 subvariant known as BA.2, which has been spreading across the globe and causing cases to surge in Europe and Asia. Coronavirus cases in the U.S. have been trending downwards, however, and experts suggest that given its high transmissibility and ability to circumvent some of the protection from vaccines, BA.2 could soon become the dominant strain in the country. Professor of Medicine at NYU Langone Health and Fox News Medical Contributor Dr. Marc Siegel joins to discuss what Americans can expect if the U.S. is hit with a BA.2 surge, the value of vaccines in tandem with natural immunity, and why it's crucial for the Biden administration to focus on hospitalizations and death as opposed to mere transmissions. Plus, commentary by columnist David Marcus. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
