psyched to be chatting with Kate Casey. Your podcast is reality life and you actually get to interview a ton of the producers and creators of a lot of reality shows, not even just on Bravo but also Netflix

did you get hooked on the real world back in the day like what was your entry point

to reality TV? Well the first television show that I remember getting hooked into is the real-world marathon,

real-world season one, but I think that I was always kind of attuned to the reality world space

because I'm always somebody who's been incredibly curious about other

people so I would pour through my mom's yearbook as a kid and ask her questions

about our classmates and what street did they grow up on and what were their

parents names and what did they do and did they have siblings and

what happened to them at the reunion and she told this great story about this girl

named Abby in her class and she was gawky and she didn't really have anybody that

would ask her to the prom. And then they went back for the

tenure reunion and she became the shantilly girl, the perfume. She was a model and

that all these guys were like staring at her and it was just this

great moment that she came back and she was like screw you guys and I just lived for

stories like that and so I'm somebody like if I go to a hotel and I'm at the

pool I'm just sitting there looking at all the people at the pool and wondering where

they live and where they went to school and what do they do and if they're married

and if they got divorced before why did that happen one of the names of the kids and why did they name

their kids that and so I meet somebody and I immediately stuck them in and I want to know everything about them and I think

that that's why I love reality TV is just an extension of that.

I think I have a photographic memory for details about people.
