On today’s podcast I had Omar Alfaro on. He is a real estate investor and agent out of California and doing big things. He did over $2 million last year in real estate revenue alone and is also accumulating a bunch of doors. We talk about his career the last 20 years being in real estate, what it was like going through all these different cycles. We go over how he had REO account and no one wanted to buy these homes in California for $40,000, so he started buying them himself. Obviously it was a wise decision. We talk about what it was like going through cycles, what is going to be like in the future for real estate investing and the market. We also discuss his experience as he is always trying to learn and be humble and alway be coachable. He has a great perspective to hear, especially from someone who has already had so much success. I really think you guys will enjoy today’s podcast, so make sure to stay to the end!

After being in real estate for about 20 years, Omar talks about how failing and making mistakes are just apart of the learning process. Before his real estate career, Omar bartended here in Las Vegas! He moved home to help at his parents restaurant, and at 23 years old, he got his real estate license. Omar Alfaro was quite a young agent, so he got his leads by calling people out of the phone book. His dad started pushing him to buy properties.
Omar began buying his properties as foreclosures in California for about $40k each, and during the 2008 recession. He didn’t even use his own money! He borrowed money from a millionaire he knew from waiting tables! He bought around five houses during that time period.
Omar joined my All Star Program awhile ago, so I asked him why he joined as he’s already so successful. He said that being in an association when some know more than he does, so its worth the time and money to learn from the high caliber individuals in the group! Omar states that constantly learning helps him keep up with the changing market and stay ahead of the game!
Omar has been through a lot of real estate market cycles, so we discuss where he thinks the market is going and how it will change - so stick around to hear what he has to say!
