hung with me through this series that may have sounded a little bit Sunday school at first,

but if you're like me, you have found yourself convicted, challenged, and encouraged all

the way through. These episodes on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and

faithfulness have laid out how the Fruit of the Spirit passage in Galatians 5 really summarizes

true gospel living. Today is no different. I'm chatting with Blair Lynn on the topic of

self-control in which we find ourselves pointed back to the cross yet again. She said,

Jesus says in Luke 9, right? If anyone would come after me, must deny himself, right? Take

up this cross daily and follow me. And that really is what this life is. It's that we should

be living out the gospel every single day. Like the reality of the death and resurrection

should be happening in our life every day, dying to our flesh and living in newness of life

through the Spirit.
