Exodus chapter 2, verses 23 through 25. During those many days, the king of Egypt died,

and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out

for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God, and God heard their groaning,

and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of

Israel, and God knew. What a picture of God when his people are

hurting. If I could just summarize this picture, when God's people are hurting, God hears them,

God sees them, and God knows them. And none of this is passive, God just kind of sitting back

listening or watching or knowing what they're going through. What happens right after this is one of the

greatest revelations of who God is in all of the Bible in Exodus chapter 3 when God reveals

himself to Moses as the I am the one who was and is and always will be the one with all authority

in all the universe the creator of all the God, who is not just watching what's

happening in Egypt as God's people are in slavery, but he is working and he's about to deliver

them from slavery. And I just want to encourage you with this picture of God today.

Obviously, I don't know all that you're walking through, but that's the beauty.
