Today, you're guided in a meditation that invites you to embark on a personal vision quest. You'll journey into a sacred space within your mind, seeking guidance and inspiration. By connecting with your inner wisdom and the natural world, you'll gain clarity and purpose.

YOUR MEDITATION JOURNEY DURING THIS WEEK'S SERIES

This is episode 4 of a meditation series titled, "The Healing Power of Silence," episodes 3220-3226.

In many spiritual traditions, silence is revered as a sacred practice. It is seen as a means to connect with one's inner self, to transcend the limitations of the mind, and to experience a deeper sense of peace and tranquility. In this week's series, you're guided on an inward journey to heal with the power of your silence.

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: Light and Shadow Quest

To observe and appreciate the duality of light and shadow in nature. Spend 10-15 minutes outdoors, paying attention to the interplay of light and shadow. Notice how the position of the sun affects the shadows cast by trees, buildings, and other objects.

I'm Mary Meckley and I honor you for giving yourself this time to slow down and connect

0:16.3

to the best part of who you are.

0:19.6

And you can often only do that when you do slow down

0:24.6

and that is why this week's theme is the healing power of silence this is a series

0:34.6

we're exploring for a full week as we always do explore a theme for a full week.

0:42.3

And it's a series for you to create an inner sanctuary.

0:47.1

And as you do so, you are taking part in what many ancient traditions have always known and that is that true healing takes place in

1:00.2

silence.

1:02.1

In today's episode, you will be learning about Native American traditions and the vision quest that included spending time alone in nature

1:16.3

in silence. And you are on a vision quest this week with your daily challenge. A daily challenge is an

1:26.3

important part of a weekly series. And this is where every week

1:32.0

as I launch a new series for you and you explore a new theme, you receive a challenge that I

1:38.7

encourage you to do every day. And this is a way to take meditation off your meditation cushion or chair and into

1:47.6

your daily life especially those times when you feel stressed or anxious so you're on a sanctuary

1:59.5

of silence quest this week, where you are encouraged to dedicate a specific time each day to disconnect from your electronic devices and to immerse yourself fully in nature or in a quiet activity that really feeds your soul.

2:22.9

Also, this week, as part of that sanctuary of silence quest, it has two parts.

2:31.1

So the second part is to mindfully listen during conversations this week, fully focus on the

2:40.1

speaker without interrupting. Take in what the speaker is saying. You'll also be guided today

2:50.7

using a featured technique that I always feature in day three of a series, and that is a mudra.

2:58.6

So I'll guide you through the mudra right now.

3:01.6
