All right, welcome back to the Deepen podcast for a brand new season and a brand new series.

We just kicked off Lent, one of my favorite times a year, because I love fasting.

We're celebrating a lot of things.

Charles Martin, the one, the only, is joining us, and he has released this book called It Is Finished.

Why do we do this podcast?

Like, what's the vision for this podcast?

So that people would deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. We had no aspirations that

people necessarily outside of our church would even listen to it. But you've only got so much

time to preach a sermon. We have these conversations about sermons and texts and all of that.

And then there was a little bit of kind of a Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan in the back of my head

going, well, these guys just sit around and talk about what they're interested in.

Why don't we just record this and put it out there for anybody that wants to go deeper

into whatever we're talking about here at the church? And so that is, that's the point.

That's why we don't like, I don't do guest interviews and that kind of stuff. That's it.
