I'm your host Jamie Hanshaw and I have a new book for you.

It's an esoteric banger.

It is The Secret Life of a Satanist by Blanche Barton. And this is the biography of Anton LeVay, the creator of the Church of Satan.

And I had to, you know, put a little post it on his face here because he just has such a demonic scowl going on there.

I didn't want to carry this book around with me with that mug staring everyone.

But this person is such a character and there is a chapter in this book that is so

poignant for today and its culture that we are going to read the entire chapter when we get there.

But we're going to go over his whole life and church and Satanism of the Anton LeVay

style. And so whenever I read a book like this, my inner critic now comes in the form of

imagine YouTube comments.

So the comments that I feel like I'm going to get when I do this kind of material is like,

well, why don't you focus on the lives of the saints or why don't you read more uplifting material? And I have to talk to myself, why, yeah, why am I not?

Why am I reading this?

And it's because I take this very seriously.

You know, on my Facebook page, I have a joke as my employment in field. I put defense against the dark arts professor.

And it is kind of a joke because that's from Harry Potter, but I do take it seriously

because I know so much about this stuff.

I was raised in it.

I studied it.

I lived it.

I met the people, not Satanism, per se, but magic and occult and esoteric
