When you think of Seattle's music scene, you may think of Eddie Vedder's distinctive grumble, teen spirit deodorant, or maybe an ultra-famous song about large posteriors.
But there’s far more to talk about.
There are thousands of songs that have a connection to this place, and quite a few that may surprise you.
A new book narrows it down: “The Sound of Seattle: 101 Songs That Shaped a City.”
Co-authors Eva Walker and Jacob Uitti are here to chat about Seattle’s musical history, and about some of the lesser-known musical heroes of our town.
