Summary

Whether you are an avid gardener, interested in permaculture, or just curious about nature’s order and your place on this earth, today’s episode holds an epiphany for all. As Rachel plans her garden in Sweden, she shares the greatest lesson she has learned so far, in both gardening and in life: you cannot force growth. You can only surrender to the will of nature and bloom in your own time. Recounting a hilarious story (that may or may not involve lizards, jalapeños and vacuuming plants), the intricate balance of all living things becomes clear - and the path forward becomes obvious. Grow where you are planted, align with your natural cycles, and let everything else be. Tune in for an episode that will remind you of your place in the balance of life. Welcome, welcome, welcome my darlings. It's time for a brand new episode of the Yoga Girl

0:10.1

podcast Conversations from the Heart. I hope you are doing well on this January day.

I am sitting here at my little home office slash tearoom, which is growing into a more beautiful

0:28.3

space every single day. I finally feel, honestly today sitting down in here, I finally feel like

0:34.8

it's getting as cozy in here as I really want it. I have a little armchair now that I actually

0:41.7

couldn't fit through the door. I bought this really cozy kind of fluffy, scrubbed up white armchair

0:49.4

to be my podcast chair. In Aruba, I had this reton kind of like one of those natural fiber

0:59.2

kind of the rone-looking chairs, like a really intense one. And I just wanted a soft, fluffy one

1:05.8

here in Sweden. It's been in our living room for about a month since we came because we haven't

1:11.1

had a couch yet. And then our couch arrived and then I went to put the armchair in my office space

1:17.6

and it didn't fit through the door. Dennis was away. This was like middle of the night.

1:22.6

I get really determined to finish things when I start. So on my own, like lay out was the

1:29.0

sleep, it's pitch black, freezing cold, snow outside. I'm like, I'm going to get this armchair

1:34.5

into my office right now and I'm not going to wait for anyone to help me. So I carried it out

1:40.3

through the front door. And then I walked all around the house carrying this armchair that was

1:47.0

way heavier than it actually looked to get it through. So in the office, I have this patio door.

1:53.2

It's like a glass door out to the deck to get it through that door because that door is bigger.

1:58.3

And then I get there after getting it all the way around the house, like feeling really strong

2:02.8

and independent and good and resourceful. And then that freaking door won't open properly. So it

2:08.7

only opens halfway. There was like a latch. Like I don't know, kids like security safety thing.

2:13.5

And I didn't know because I never exited or entered through that door. So I had to start over and

2:17.8

bring it all the way back inside and then find like figure out that like latch thing with some
