At 8:40 am on the morning of Tuesday, March 19, 2002, Linda Razzell got into her red Ford Escort along with her partner Greg Worrall and three of her four children. She was running late, which was not uncommon (Part 1 of 2).

1:19.1	The 8.40am on the morning of Tuesday, March 19th, 2002, Linda Reselle got in a red Ford
1:35.1	escort along with her partner Greg Wharrel and three of her four children. She was running late,
1:41.9	which was not uncommon. From a home in Penteland's close in Highworth, Swindon, Linda was
1:48.0	dropping Greg at his home also in Highworth and getting the kids off to school before heading to work,
1:54.5	just under 10 miles away. The 41-year-old arrived at Alfscot Road near Swindon College,
2:02.4	where Linda worked as a part-time learning support assistant. She was seen by a resident who was
2:08.6	opening his driveway gate as she made her way towards the college around 9.10am on foot.
2:14.9	She was passing through an alleyway leading to Up and Road and then on to Drove Road.
2:20.4	The alleyway isn't even 100 meters long and is overlooked by several properties.
2:26.4	It's only wide enough to fit one vehicle through and there is not enough room to turn a car around.
2:33.9	Swindon College has located five minutes walk away from Linda's car.
2:38.6	A short journey she often made without incident.
2:48.3	After Linda had dropped Greg off at his home in Highworth, he was on the afternoon shift,
2:53.6	starting work around 3.30pm. But at 6.24pm Linda's eldest daughter contacted Greg,
3:02.2	telling him her younger siblings had not been picked up from an after-school club.
