In the center of town the new podcast bell clangs, but on the outskirts, a young woman

watches the sun melt into the horizon from the doorway of a darkened house.

She marks the silence, then mutters to herself, don't start a game of chess with a handful

of pawns.

In the morning she'll throw her bags in the car and start driving.

At first, there's time for one more lesson, so she sits back to enjoy the show.
