I just love how by his spirit he's so faithful to connect the dots

from really ordinary things to very glorious things in his way

and in his timing.

It's really beautiful.

Well I want to start today's podcast by recognizing all of our heavy hearts over the flooding in Texas.

As you know, it's very surreal to watch on TV altogether, but for Nathan and I we're seeing footage of a city that we know very well.

Houston was where Nathan and I began as Watermark back in 97 and 98. We called Houston home and it was where we served locally at

Houston's First Baptist Church for their singles ministry and it was where we heard

our first song on the radio on KSBJ.

It's a city where we have countless precious friends and even extended family.

So my brother Eric Hill and his wife Kristen, Amarilis Kristen, as most of you know her by,

Kristen is originally from Houston and her sweet, sweet parents had to evacuate by boat on Sunday and they have potentially lost everything.

There's very little chance that anything will be salvaged.

And we gathered our kids in the living room on Sunday and we literally prayed them through the

evacuation.

And I wanted to share with you a post from Kristen Sweet Mama Karen.

She posted this on Monday the day after they had to leave their home by boat.

And it was a picture of a devotional dated that day, August 28th, by J.R. McDuff, and it says this, it is quite easy for us to talk and to theorize
