full-on fall and I'm loving every minute of it. Our little town of Franklin is all

dawled up. We just had our pumpkin fest and that for sure marks for us that the

holidays have arrived.

We remember taking the kids to the pumpkin fest

when they were just little when we lived here years ago.

In fact, our last pumpkin fest in Franklin

before we moved to Atlanta was when Annie Rose was just about

four months old.

And it was just this sweet little day at the downtown shops where a few vendors and shop

owners would dress up and hand out candy and for kids you know

it was that extra time that they could put on their costume and show it off and the shop

owners would ooh and awe over them.

And at that time it felt like maybe you know a couple of thousand people would be in

and out in a day's time I could be wrong.

But the point is ten years ago you could breathe while you were down there. Well this year I read

that there was an estimated 65,000 people who came to our little tiny downtown.

If you can even find parking and brave the crowd, you can hardly even find the shop owners handing out candy anymore.

You're just staring at the back of someone as you shuffle down the middle of the street and try to enjoy pumpkin fest.

There's now entire streets blocked off and dedicated to just food trucks.
