The Division of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia, was founded in 1967 by psychiatrist Dr Ian Stevenson. By the time of his retirement in 2002, Stevenson had logged over 2,500 cases of apparent reincarnation with varying degrees of credibility.
One case involved a young boy from Middlesbrough, England, called Carl Edon.
