It's the kind of house that holds on to secrets where the walls seem to whisper and the stairs

have a life of their own. You can imagine walking through feeling a chill as you move from

room to room, always sensing that someone or something might be just

around the corner. Now imagine this. You're in that house sitting at the kitchen table, maybe

minding your own business, working on a crossword puzzle when you hear it. Footsteps. They're

not just any footsteps. No, these are deliberate, up and down, back and forth, as if something or someone is pacing above you.

But there's one tiny problem. You're the only one in the house. You call out, thinking maybe it's your stepbrother back from wherever he was.

But there's no response, just silence. Eerie silence. You do what any rational

person would do. You check the rooms, even the creepy attic, but you find nothing, so you go back

to your puzzle trying to convince yourself, it's just an old house making old house noises.

Then it happens again. Footsteps right above you where no one should

be. Now here's the kicker. This isn't a one-off. This is a regular occurrence in this house and it's not

just the house, it's the people in it. The generations who've lived there have all felt it, heard it, and sometimes even seen it.
