Open AI now putting pressure on the search giant Google with the launch of its own

search function that is calling it's calling more natural intuitive and

conversational Steve Koveck has the details in today's tech check Steve

Yeah, so open AI is getting into the search business,

but not exactly the way you might be thinking.

So here's what they announced yesterday.

It's called SearchGPT, brilliant name there.

Right now it's being billed as a prototype,

not available to the public yet.

About 10,000 users are going to be able to use it at first.

Other than that, you need to sign up in a wait list

to get access to it.

And Open AI says it's designed to give you the

answer you're looking for directly and you can ask follow-up questions and the

like also has partnerships with publishers and other online creators so answers get their proper credit where the

information is coming from big links to to click into and here's where things

get different though from what we've seen open AI CEO Sam Altman in a tweet

said search geep.

Well, eventually integrate into chat geep.

So it doesn't really sound like a pure AI search engine,

like we see Google and Microsoft

and the startup perplexity sort of building out right now.
