Yeah, I'm bad with money.

Fellow deadbeats, welcome back to Bad With Money. It is season 2, and I am so excited to kick off the second season because I really think you're going to love this first episode.

It's about student loans.

And like the rest of this season, it features a lot of me yelling at my guests about how this podcast is basically turning me into a socialist.

But we will get there.

Before we do, I want to take a minute to talk about how we're approaching this season because so many of you took the time to send your thoughts on how we can do a better job of exploring the topics and issues around money that hit closest to your home.

The main thing you're going to notice about this season is that it's going to be shorter than the first season.

We're going to do 12 longer episodes instead of 24 shorter ones.

And that's because we want to make sure that each one is more focused and wide-ranging and journalistic.

Instead of exploring the particular journey of one guest, like we did on a lot of the show's last season, we're going to treat these episodes more like our Banks are Evil episode, where I took a big confusing issue, told you all just how little I know about it, despite the fact that it influences basically everything in my life, and then brought on some experts to help me understand how the system works, why it's horrible and fucked up, and what we can do to change it.

And along the way, we're going to keep incorporating your emails and voice memos like we did in the last episode.

In general this season, you can expect to hear much less of a focus on the entertainment industry.

Yeah, we heard you loud and clear on that. But there's going to be much more of a focus on how money corrupts and confuses pretty much everything.

And whereas last season was a lot about me learning about my own ignorance about money, I like to call last season finances and feelings.

These new episodes are going to turn the spotlight on the system as a whole. And still on me and my ignorance around money, it wouldn't be bad with money if I didn't sound like a dumb dumb at least two or three times in episode.
