Hello everyone I'm Matt Williamson at Williamson NFL is it going? We are going to dig into this

Steeler head coach hiring cycle right now. And I want to buzz through each one of the names that's

been reported that they will talk to. And I want to preface that by a couple things. First off, only one of the candidates that's been

announced as of dinner time on Thursday is an offensive-minded background. And I don't love that.

I hope they're not just saying we've had success with three coaches in a row that have a defense slash special

teams whatever background so that's the only way to do it i hope they're not taking that approach

i also don't think that there is a ben johnson offensive mind that everyone thinks is above the

rest so this group of coaches that's getting interviewed for nine, now eight,

with Harbaugh and New York, is mostly defensive guys. I would prefer to go offense,

all things being equal. I don't think they tend to agree with me, but I'm not just 100% certain how they view that.
