There's been some rumors about Stofansky going to Atlanta.

It looks like Harbaugh is basically a done deal with the Giants.

That sort of thing.

But there is a new name in the Steelers cycle, and that's Clay Kubiak.

You've probably heard of Clint Kubiak, who was the offense coordinator for the Saints and then

went to Seattle. And I thought he was quite good in both spots, to be honest with you,

better talent in Seattle, and they're still alive and had a really good offense.

Has dwindled a little down the stretch, but we're not talking about him.

But I think he could be, who knows, if he'll be contacted or not.

But anyways, Clay Kubiak is basically Shanahan's right-hand man on the offensive side of the ball in San Francisco.

And it's noteworthy that he's an offensive guy because when we talked yesterday,

there had only been one of the then seven, I think.

Candidates were offensive-minded coaches.

So I firmly believe that they don't think we have to go

defense, you know, because frankly, most of the candidates across the league this year are

defensive. So you pluck from where you, what's available. You know, you can only go fishing in

the pond that's available, you know, and most of the best candidates are more defensive.

But I am encouraged that they are reaching out to Kubiak. And it was just a couple of weeks ago,

there was a quote from Shanahan before the Steelers even, you know, went down this road,

talking about how he's one of the most underrated coaches around.

He said something like he's a stud.
