Summary

Happy New Year! Well, after nearly two weeks since our last regular episode, we have found nothing resembling a good martini. Not the greatest omen for 2024. But we do have three important bad martinis, at least one of which has a whole lot of crazy to it as well.

First, they weigh in on the Maine Secretary of State unilaterally deciding that former President Trump is disqualified from this year's primary ballot. Plus, they respond to Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin - himself an election denier in 2016 - stating that Justice Clarence Thomas must recuse himself from any decisions on Trump's ballot access and hinting that there may be consequences if he doesn't.

They're also disgusted (but not at all surprised) that Congress spent $7.5 billion to produce 500,000 electric vehicle chargers and so far, it either has one or none to show for it. Jim also breaks down how this is another example of how why free market is far better than central planning.

Finally, Jim details the shady decision by a Biden official to overrule the unanimous recommendation to build the new FBI headquarters in Virginia and award it to Maryland instead.
