Summary
Scott Oldford On Failure is Absolute
Scott Oldford started at seven years old selling eggs from his home. By the time he was 16, Scott was running a very successful company, helping those online with their programming and internet marketing. In 2013, Scott’s third company failed while 726 thousand dollars in debt. About a year later, Scott built a company that did nearly 1 million in revenue. Today, Scott continues to fulfill his purpose, while working with entrepreneurs to show them how to stop losing out on 80% of their potential leads by using effective online marketing funnels.
In this episode, we will be discussing:
- Finding pleasure in the pain that is entrepreneurship
- How Scott continued after acquiring $726,000 in debt
- Seeking fulfillment rather than money
- Scott’s view of success as a clue, but failure as an absolute
- Eliminating your emotional immune system to be a successful entrepreneur
- Viewing failure as a character-building pursuit
- Why Scott learns from people who fail
- Why Scott learns his lessons from people around him rather than far above him
- Investing four hours a day for knowledge, character, health, and connections
- Removing our personal purpose from our business
- Separating loss from failure
- How The SSF Method helps entrepreneurs break the cycle
