Smarter News. And I'm really happy to see you today because I almost didn't hit the live button.

That's the sort of Monday that I'm having, which would mean that not only are we not live,

but we also would not be recorded. And that would be bad. But let's just all be grateful

that we made it here. Maybe that's where we need to start on Monday with some gratitude. We have a

really exciting show plan for you today. I'm very, very happy to invite back with us, war correspondent

author Holly McKay, who's going to be talking about her time where she sat down with members of what we're

referring to as Iranian backed militia in Iraq and in Syria.

We're going to talk a little bit about that.

It's in the news so much.

And as you'll learn from Holly, there's some really important perspective that we should have

on these groups.

Maybe what we're imagining doesn't fit the reality on the ground. And that's why reporting on the ground really matters. So I'm excited to have Holly with us today. The Grammys were last night. I'm not going to get too far into pop culture. As you know, I want to cover the news that that's really important in your life and that matters. But I say music matters, doesn't it? It certainly does.

And if there's any award show that I enjoy watching or certainly want to watch the clips, it's the

Grammys, love music. It's fun to see all the different collaborations. And there was a collaboration

last night. I'm curious if you saw it. And if you haven't seen it, it's worth looking up.

And there's some news to

this. It was a collaboration between Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs. And they were singing a song

called Fast Car. And this is a song that Tracy Chapman wrote. And it was a big hit in the 1980s.

And then Luke Combe, Luke Combs, pardon me, who listened to it as a child with his father

and talked about how much you loved the song, actually re-recorded it with permission,

of course.
