Hi, everybody. Welcome to Scoop where you get the scoop on this week's news. I'm Jenna, and I'm so glad

that you're here today. I'm sort of laughing to myself as I'm getting ready, by the way, to record this because there always seems to be a lot to cover in the course of 30 minutes as we do in scoop. I like to keep it to that length because I feel like, you know, that's a good length of a little bit of an errand run at the grocery store, maybe a little bit of a walk. Got something going on. You have it in the background.

And so I like that length.

Anything over that, I start getting nervous. And you see, I creep over it periodically. But I like to keep it just at that length. But today's itinerary is aggressive, very aggressive of what we're going to cover. But a lot of really interesting news this week. And one of the things I love about this week's news cycle is of the things we know, we have a lot of access to primary sources.

So we're actually going to hear from world leaders this week without any editing, how they're

feeling about whatever they choose to talk about. That's going to happen at the United

Nations. So I'm going to get to that in a second. We have a big meeting at the United Nations.

We have a lot of foreign policy stories to talk about. We have politics mixed in in that. We have a

historic strike. We got a little bit of everything today. But I'm going to start off with something

fun because I know many of you have experienced a long, hot summer.

It has been a historic heat wave in many parts of the country.

And so I have some bright news to share it with you.
