Welcome to the Girl Next Door Podcast. I'm Erica and I'm Kelsey. In every episode, we bring

our different perspectives to honest, funny conversations that feel like chatting with good friends.

We started this show years ago when we were next door neighbors and still haven't run out of

things to talk and laugh about yet. Today's episode is for all

of those new school moms. We are chatting about school involvement, kindergarten readiness,

teacher communication, and just generally sharing our tips and tricks for being a school mom.

So if you are sending a little one off to kindergarten maybe for the first time, you're entering into a whole new phase of parenting,

and we want to share with you what we've learned to make that a smooth transition.

And even if you've had kids in school for a little while,

but find the rhythms of school to be a bit much and need some encouragement,

we hope this episode will help you as well.

bit of our background. So since 2020, I homeschool my girls who are in sixth and seventh grade now,

which is bananas. Yes. But my kids did go to public school for K2 and they went to preschool before that.

And then I was a public school elementary teacher for eight years before we had kids,

huge supporter of the public schools or whatever your school choices.
