With so many people gifting and receiving scented candles this holiday season, I thought it

was high time to revisit some frequently asked questions to help maximize the life and

enjoyment of them.

If you're scouring through literally hundreds of submissions through Instagram, the following

questions are undoubtedly the most popular.

Let's get right into them.

The first one is how can I get my candle to stop tunneling?

A lot of factors go into this.

It can start with candle quality, it can be affected by your first burn, or there's

just a ton of things that can go on.

But really there's one way to fix it, and this is the way that works the best.

And honestly there's probably a few ways to fix it, but I do think that if you're going

to try one, this should be your first one.

It's called the foil trick.

You take foil and you cover the top of your candle and kind of create like a greenhouse

effect with just a little tiny hole at the top to let the heat out.

You let it burn until the wax reaches the edges, and this really should cure all of your

tunneling concerns.

And if it doesn't, well hop on Google and try to figure out what your candle looks like

and then go solve it from there.
