for our holiday show where we get to talk about all things Christmas-y, youll-time, all sorts of

holidays. We'll be covering ghost stories and my favorite angel stories. So sit back for yourself

a cup of tea and join us around the table, won't you? Ghost stories, who would have thought

that ghost stories other than Charles Dickens, right? Who would have thought that ghost stories

and the Yuletide season went together? Well, I didn't, but I've done a lot of research and guess what?

I found a ton of ghost stories related to the holidays and I think that and Samantha and I

talked about this as we were doing research for the show. Is it one of the reasons for that is because

this is a time where folks do make themselves tea or cocoa or whatever and sit around the fire

and tell stories and ghost stories became part of the tradition of the Yuletide season as it became

such a time of reminiscence for people gone during the winter and a time of just connecting to

each other. So we have these great ghost stories. I'm going to tell several. Yeah, there's even a

song that I know we're all familiar with. It's the most wonderful time of the year by Edward Pola

and George Wilde where it says, there'll be parties for hosting marshmallows for toasting and

caroling out in the snow. There'll be scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmas

as long, long ago. So that song shows that this always was a time, not Halloween, to sit around the

fire, the hearth and share ghost stories. I think the tradition started because it was the end of the

year and this is where we think about all the people we lost this year. You know, the holidays

can be such a wonderful magical time but they can also be kind of a sad nostalgia time. Oh,
