I was on my guard from that first text, and there was a weird semicolon. And so I thought they'll call me if there's an issue. I'm not going to touch this one. And then I get a call shortly after from my bank's phone number. And again, because I was on my guard, I put that number into Google. And it came up as my bank's number number and I knew it looked familiar as well.

So I picked up and the guy on the other line said, hi, this is Austin calling from Blank Bank,

calling from the fraud detection and prevention department. We can see on Aaron that a account

takeover has occurred where somebody has gotten into

your account, created a profile on top of it, and is attempting to do probably something

pretty malignant.

So have you fallen for any scams recently?

Have you ever been the victim of financial scam? If not, you're lucky, but they're

coming and they're coming after you in the form of text messages, emails, phone calls. Now,

sometimes they're not really savvy scams, but sometimes they are very sophisticated.

And the higher your net worth, the more likely they are to come after you. But

doesn't mean if you are someone who is pulling in X,000 dollars per week, they don't want

that. They want your money. And we're going to learn in this week's episode. We're going to sit down

with Alisa, who was brave enough to tell her story. And then we're going to sit down with anisa, who was brave enough to tell her story, and then we're

going to sit down with an expert, Mark Hirschkowitz, who will talk to us about scams and what

to be on the lookout for.
