So I come to a report from Bloomberg in these last days

about China's response to this. Beyond seeking breakthroughs, writes Bloomberg,

China's also investing heavily in ramping up its overall output of chips, even if they are a few years behind the cutting edge.

In 2024, China is expected to lead the world in expanding chip production capacity

with 18 new fabs coming online.
