Hello and welcome. My name is John August. My name is Drew Markort and this is a script

notes side cast, a short episode about one thing. I've had plenty of experience picketing,

but last week Drew I did my very first location picketing. So I thought we should talk about

what that entails. But first we have some picketing follow up. Yes. So a few episodes back,

you and Megan had talked about neutral gates. Those are the ones that the studios have designated

as not being used by their employees and productions, but rather by other independent companies

on the lot. Exactly. And under labor law, we cannot pick it in front of those neutral gates.

But what we can do is put a monitor there as a person in a chair holding a clipboard who's

keeping track of what vehicles are entering and exiting. And on that side cast, you and Megan

talked about how neutral gates aren't that big of a deal. It's not like some giant loophole where

people in trucks are sneaking through, right? Except sometimes they do sneak through. And they

shouldn't be. So last week when the neutral gates at CBS on Fairfax got flipped becoming a normal

gate because the gate observers, those people in the chairs with the clipboards caught actual

employees who were using it. So we can now pick it in front of that one gate at CBS, which we could

not before. So on Friday, I did just that. I've picked it in front of that once neutral gate.

Nice. How was it?

Probably a gate. Honestly, if it hadn't just been a normal gate the whole time through,

I would never have noticed any difference. But it feels like it's a victory for chairs and

clipboards and the people who use them. So I was just really happy for all the neutral gate

observers out there. You were doing the Lord's work and sometimes it pays off. So where else have

you been picking? So I've mostly been at Paramount and at Netflix. Yesterday I went to the Taylor Swift
