0:58.8	As we watch the mounting chaos surrounding the Republican presidential primary,
1:02.8	I've been thinking about how crazy it is that the far and away frontrunner for the Republican
1:07.2	nomination is the racist misogynistic lying ex-president who tried to stay in power against the will of
1:13.0	the voters and is currently under multiple criminal indictments that include espionage and election
1:18.0	interference. And the second place runner is a far right extremist governor who would clearly love
1:22.8	nothing more than to rule the country as an authoritarian white Christian nationalist who answers
1:27.2	to no one. These are the Republicans top two guys. It makes you wonder what the other people in the race
1:32.8	even think they're doing. To really get a sense of where we're at with these primaries and the
1:36.9	Republican Party of today, we're going to be talking to Michael Steele, the former chairman of the
1:41.2	Republican National Committee, and now MSNBC contributor and host of the Michael Steele podcast.
1:46.4	When Michael was elected Lieutenant Governor of Maryland in 2003 and made chair of the RNC in 2009,
