Way, way back at the start of the COVID pandemic. Once we learned

letting someone breathe in your face was the real risk for transmission, I

predicted a new golden age for glory holes, a wall over for other or in each other's faces. And with months of me making this prediction, health authorities across the country

were encouraging people who weren't satisfied fucking around online to go seek out glory holes

or maybe even build one in their own home,

which is what a then 28 year old Toronto man did in 2020.

He built himself a glory hole, kind of a flimsy one, just a sheet with a hole cut in it, and got online, looking for

Dick.

And now, four years and two vaccines and countless booster shots, and who knows how many conspiracy

theories later, that man is going to jail.

Jacques Gallant, who writes about justice and legal affairs for the Toronto Star, covered his trial.

Gallant writes, in 2020, Tony Sphere tricked two men into believing they were talking

to a woman online and invited them over to his Toronto home to have anonymous sex through a hole in a sheet hanging in a doorway.

As instructed, the victims walked into the home and put their penises inside the hole.

Oral sex was performed and then it became penetration without warning.

The ruse, Gowon's report continues, came to an end when the second man pulled the sheet down

to find sphere cowering on the ground in a black wig.
