com. Think about all the history you know. Where did it occur?

Think about all the history you know. Where did it occur? As you catalog your knowledge,

you'll likely realize that you have a regional bias. I know most about American history,

then probably British history.

After that, French history, then generalized European history, followed by Greco-Roman history.

Maybe a little bit of Egyptian, some ancient Middle Eastern, but by now I've certainly begun

googling to double check my facts. I really don't know that much Asian history,

African history, and most of the South American history I know is because it gets tangled up in the

history of the United States so often. I don't even know that much Australian

history which is weird considering both my parents are Australian. And you

what that's all okay. Regional biases are to be expected.

Many of us are understandably more interested in the history of the people, places, and

politics that surround us.

But as I begin to rank the continents I know most about, I realize I'm missing one.

There's Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America, and Antarctica, the 7th continent.

I definitely know nothing about this place.

Well, maybe some details about the race to the South Pole expeditions.

But what else?
