I wanted to take a quick moment on today's History Daily to talk about History Daily.

Recently, we were nominated for an Ambi Award by the Podcast Academy for Best History Show,

so congratulations to everyone involved in making this show the fun,

interesting, fact-stuff narrative adventure, and now industry recognize show it is.

We face stiff competition. We are the only daily show on the list,

and the only ones designed for a broad audience, covering broad topics.

And certainly, the only History Show nominated this year that appeals so much to children and family

listening. We did not set out to make History Daily a family show, and some episodes certainly

require parental guidance. But I get plenty of notes from families who tell me History Daily is

a favorite in their house. And that's just delightful. If that's the case at your home, too,

Sharing these stories of history with your family is a great way to bond. Get your kids away from

screens for a bit, and just encourage a climate of learning. But we are not the only resource for all

of that. Far from it. So on today's Saturday, Matt and I, we're introducing an episode from the

podcast The Past and the Curious. Host Mick Sullivan is a museum educator from Kentucky,

but also the author of I.C. Lincoln's Underpants, the surprising times underwear and the people

wearing them made History. This proves that Mick knows exactly how to captivate a middle

school audience. The episode we're sharing today is titled Bears, telling the story of two such

animals and how they changed the life of one president in the course of History of a Nation.
