It was a good career choice. They were expanding in America and gave my dad the choice of several cities to relocate to,

San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque.

In the end, my dad chose Dallas.

His reasoning was solid for an engineer.

It's where I was born and it's where I live now. But how did my father know Dallas?

Well on November 22nd, 1963, the city became infamous.

That afternoon on Elm Street, across from Dealy Plaza, next to the grassy knoll by the Book

Depository Building, President John F. Kennedy was shot.

The shock and grief of the nation was enormous, debilitating, but then came the anger, as many began

to draw connections between prior events in Dallas and the death of a president.
