Welcome to the Saturday Examine. Today is the Feastay of the Brothers St Cyril and Methodius. They created the

Glagolitic alphabet in the 9th century so that they could translate the Bible and other texts into the Slavic languages.

It is the oldest known Slavic alphabet.

For today's examin we begin by placing ourselves in God's presence

and give thanks for the gift of communication today,

for words spoken and heard, for moments of understanding, for bridges built instead of walls. Prepare yourself for prayer by focusing on your breath.

Notice how the change in breath brings stillness and an awareness of God's presence. We might begin by asking for the wisdom and openness that also weaves throughout the Scripture over the week.
