prominence four years ago thanks to her tremendous performance as Shavan Shiv Roy, the smart

cutthroat youngest child and only daughter of the Rupert Murdock-esque media mogul Logan

Roy on the HBO drama series Succession, which won the best drama series Emmy for its second

season and is now nominated for it again for season three.

And for which she has already shared in a best ensemble of a drama series Saga Ward,

one best supporting actress in a drama series Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards and

receive two best supporting actress in a drama series Emmy nominations, one of which is

currently pending.

Over the course of our conversation, the 34-year-old and I discussed how right out of drama

school, she almost landed the starring role in David Fincher's 2010 film The Girl with

the Dragon Tattoo and why she is glad she didn't.

How the casting director who brought her in for Danny Boyle's 2015 film Steve Jobs later

reached out to her about Succession and why she very nearly walked away from the opportunity

to pursue the part, how Succession blowing up largely during the pandemic has resulted

in her only recently beginning to experience what it's like to be a celebrity, plus much
