they lost the Oscar for Best Costume Design to themselves? Okay, well, you being the former film, TV, movie costume person, you're the expert on this,

so I have no clue.

Well, let's just say that it's exactly the case with today's guest, Sandy Powell, one of the most decorated and sought after costume designers living and working

today. And Sandy's career spans an incredible 40 years, 50 plus films. She's earned the highest

honors, including the title of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire or

OBE. And she has an incredible 16 BAFTAs.

And BAFTAs are the British Academy Film Awards.

She has 15 Academy Awards.

And these are all nominations.

So 16 and 15 nominations.

And she's won three of each.

And this is a fun fact.

Her first BAFTA and Oscar wins came in the same year in 1998 when she was nominated

at each Academy's awards for her designs for not one, but two films. So she took home the Oscar

for Shakespeare and Love and the BAFTA for Velvet Gold Mine. I mean, I think that this is maybe not the
