Summary

The San Francisco 49ers just made Brock Purdy one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL and that puts tremendous pressure on general manager John Lynch to build a stacked roster once again while paying big money for his seventh-round passer. Lynch will likely be on the chopping block before head coach Kyle Shanahan. Next, the NFL has given us a fantastic holiday slate of games on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Excellent matchups with teams like the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. However, the Chiefs get both days as part of their league-high seven primetime games and it is worth asking whether it is over-exposure for the Chiefs, but the schedule isn't really a help to their chances at reclaiming the Super Bowl trophy.
