The Simple Handicap for Thursday, August 22nd. Thank you for making me a part of your morning. In this episode, we will be previewing the San Francisco 49ers for the upcoming season. Lots to talk about with a team rated this high, with a win total this high. I think a bit of back and forth in speculation that maybe this is one of the big teams at the top of the odds board to take a tumble. We'll get into both sides of the football.

All right, let's get to the San Francisco 49ers.

And I say there was a bit of a conflicting perception, perhaps,

because of all the teams at the top of the odds board, San Francisco,

right at the very top, I think there's the circle being put on this team

by the most people for the contender

that you can be down on, perhaps, because I think it's easier to make and point at and pick a

case with the 49ers downfall than it would be the chiefs or the Bengals or the lions, for example.

A lot of people kind of taking little jabs at the 49ers.

I'm going to try paint both sides of the picture the best that I can

and give you everything that I think about this team.

And I will kind of caveat that was saying that I don't have an adamant stance

on whether or not they're going

to go over or under this 11.5 win total. I'm just very indifferent on the 49ers, and I have

maybe a couple questions lingering that may be answered as we get closer to kick off in week one.
