0:24.8	He's the author of over 20 books on terrorism, and I first became aware of him back in 1997.
0:29.9	When I was out on Sankamany Island for the third phase of Buds, SEAL training, where
0:34.6	we focus on land warfare, demolitions, firearms, and tactics.
0:39.3	But one of the instructors talked about this book, The Night Raiders.
0:44.2	And it highlights a raid by Flotilla 13, which is the Israeli equivalent of our U.S. Navy
0:51.4	Seals.
0:52.4	And there's a raid on an island called Green Island.
0:56.3	And the instructor went through this raid with us, and I immediately bought the book
1:00.8	when I got back from the island and graduated Buds.
1:03.7	And I have been a student of Samuel Katz in his work ever since.
1:08.8	His latest is called No Shadows in the Desert, which focuses on Iraq, Syria, the Islamic
1:14.0	State, had a great conversation with him.
