He's the author of over 20 books on terrorism, and I first became aware of him back in 1997.

When I was out on Sankamany Island for the third phase of Buds, SEAL training, where

we focus on land warfare, demolitions, firearms, and tactics.

But one of the instructors talked about this book, The Night Raiders.

And it highlights a raid by Flotilla 13, which is the Israeli equivalent of our U.S. Navy

Seals.

And there's a raid on an island called Green Island.

And the instructor went through this raid with us, and I immediately bought the book

when I got back from the island and graduated Buds.

And I have been a student of Samuel Katz in his work ever since.
