In the glorious and beautiful name of Jesus, everybody say hallelujah, amen.

You're going to Acts chapter 27, and I am turning there myself.

We are going to be catching up with the Apostle Paul at a very interesting time of his ministry, because he has been what he feels is wrongly

jailed and wrongly accused and he's been beaten and he has gone back and said to them

I'm a Roman citizen and I have not yet been heard and And so they even give him the opportunity to be released.

But he says, no, no, I don't want to be released. I want to go before Caesar. I want to go to Rome.

Why? Because he wants to take the gospel there and to be with those believers there. He knows

that if he can get to Rome,

maybe it's a little bit like we can imagine our New York City, that that's the place where

people came in from all over the world and entered into this country. Put it that way,

think of that in terms of the gospel, that if you can get it to Rome, because all roads lead to Rome and all roads lead from Rome, it would spread with such velocity.

And so he knows exactly what he's doing.

So he's with other prisoners that they put on a ship that will eventually take him to Rome.

But it is a nightmare, an absolute nightmare.

And I want you to pick up with me.

I want to read verses one and two, the nine through 25.

When it was decided that we were to sail to Italy, they handed over Paul and some other

prisoners to a centurion named Julius of the Imperial Regiment.

Now, who is we?
