So far on Bring Back V10s, we've largely steered clear of the biggest flashpoints in the Ayrton's centre, Alan Prost saga.

But to start series 9, we are no longer steering clear.

We're steering straight into one of them, much like Prost did at the Suzuki start series 9, we are no longer steering clear. We're steering straight into

one of them, much like Prost did at the Suzuki Chican back in 1989. That's right, we're tackling

that year's Japanese Grand Prix, and more importantly, all of the controversy that followed the race

where Prost was crowned world champion, and Senna was, in his own words, treated like a criminal.

We will show some love to Alessandro Nannini's only F1 win as well, and a couple of the

other storylines going on in F1 at the time, but really this episode will focus on the storyline

that is synonymous with Sizuca 89.

And to help me, Glenn Freeman, do just that.

We have Ed Straw and a very special guest appearing on the show for the first time.

Before I ask you our traditional opening question, I feel that I should point out that

while this is your first time joining us, you are effectively bring back V10's royalty already,

as you are responsible for two of the books that we quote most often on the show.

Alan Prost's book that was published in conjunction with McLaren, and your brilliant Williams book,

which I'll give its full title, Williams, the legendary story of Frank Williams and his F1 team

in their own words. People are always asking us for book recommendations. So it seems fitting

to suggest those two for anyone who's got any leftover festive vouchers to spend this January.
