king of Australia, king of New Zealand, King of Canada, King of England, Wales, and Scotland.

Good for him. He has a ceremony each year where he sits in the throne at the head of the House

of Lord. He goes next to him, and he reads the king's speech handed to him right beforehand charles read it

perfectly even though he's you know he's wearing a crown and he's full robes and there wasn't a

i read on air you make mistakes you do the word twice you hesitate you might even once in a while

say the word um the king did none of this.

But my government promises, my government will, my government will. There was a lot of promise

in there, Gregory. Who wrote that speech? The prime minister and his team wrote that speech,

as they write every king's speech. The formality of this event is to show the

king in parliament, is to show that the nation is one. Parliament deals with day-to-day acts of

government and the crown deals with the unified goals of the state and the speech, the king's speech, or the queen's speech,

is basically there to show that there is harmony between the crown and the government,

and that they're going to get along despite any political hiccups and despite the extremity

one way or another of a particular government.

In the Commonwealth countries, they have the same thing.

The Governor General, as the representative of the Crown, does the speech from the throne

there.

So a lot of people, in particular in the United States, have been analyzing saying what was

wrong with King Charles saying all of these coming out with my government

will do this and that socialist type of function in their next electoral period.
